No, summer camp is not mandatory, however, if you want to improve your chances of making the team while having a prolonged evaluation period, I would highly recommend participating in summer camp.  There are daily practices and a ton of games played during the month.

All players will be purchasing YLHS Men's Basketball practice gear to wear at practices and games.  I would recommend purchasing several pairs as they will get used and dirty daily.  Beyond that, basketball appropriate gear and water are necessary as well.

Final decisions on player rosters occurs during the first two weeks of school.  Players not in summer camp will have the ability to attend our tryout night in August and we will finalize rosters after that.  Before the end of the second week of school, all players will be informed of their status.
